THANKSGIVING USA Thanksgiving is a holiday that is celebrated annually in the US on the fourth Thursday of November. In Canada, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October (the harvest happens earlier because of the temperature difference). Most people celebrate Thanksgiving by meeting with family and friends for a traditional banquet. The history of Thanksgiving in the USA is as follows: the day was first celebrated in 1621 by settlers and American Indians of the New England colony in the early 17th century, with the intention of thanking God for the great harvest after many difficulties. Its true origin, however, dates back to traditional harvest festivals in many parts of the world since ancient times. Nowadays, Thanksgiving is a celebration of domestic life, centered around the home and the family. Public Thanksgiving celebrations usually show the holiday connection with the settlers.  In October 31th we had a Halloween party in the school.  Student Council organized the event in sports field,  where two groups do a  dance perfomance of k-pop. Before it we had a parade and contest od best costume.  After all, everybody danced funk together.  Julia Sato, one of the members of this Blog, permoned Zoombie Party - Speed with some friends, training everyday in the classroom after lunch.
